When you need replacement parts for your shop or workshop, a clear enquiry gives the supplier a better starting point for checking the application and preparing a quotation. A product name or a single photograph may leave important details unresolved.
Use this checklist to organise your request before contacting PEIDD.
1. Start with the part reference and vehicle details
Include the part number printed on the component or its packaging, if available. Send a clear photograph of the label rather than relying only on a handwritten number.
Also include the vehicle make, model, production year and engine details you know. Mention relevant differences such as transmission type or the side of the vehicle where the part is fitted. Do not assume that every version of the same model uses an identical component.
If a VIN is requested to support the check, share it through a private conversation rather than posting it in a public comment. A part reference, vehicle description or VIN still needs to be reviewed against the specific application.
2. Photograph the old part clearly
If the part number is missing or difficult to read, send several useful views:
• The front and back of the component.
• Connectors, mounting points and visible differences.
• Any remaining labels, stamps or markings.
• Relevant measurements, with the measurement points clearly shown.
Keep the original photographs available. A similar appearance is not enough to confirm compatibility; photographs help explain the request and identify what further information is needed.
3. Specify quantity and destination
For each item, state the required quantity and destination country. If you have a target delivery date, include it as a requirement to discuss, rather than assuming a delivery commitment.
For a mixed order, use one line per item. Keep each photo linked to the correct line so that different references are not confused.
4. Check the quotation before confirming an order
Review the agreed reference and application, quantity, packaging, price, lead time and shipping terms. When browsing a catalogue, check which quantity tier a displayed price applies to. Clarify whether freight and other charges are included in the quotation.
Availability and delivery arrangements must be confirmed for the actual enquiry. Keep the agreed details in writing before proceeding.
